Amber Morgan
Amber Morgan is Gitxsan and belongs to Wilps Woosimlaxha. She has more than ten years of experience in Indigenous non-profit organizations and over five years of experience within Provincial and Indigenous governance. Her background includes governance, administration, strategic planning, records management, community engagement, and program development.
Amber holds an Associate of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies and has studied Political Science at the University of British Columbia. In 2025, she returned home to Gitwangak to strengthen her relationships with family, community, Sim Algyax, and Gitxsan culture.
As an intergenerational residential school survivor and the first of three generations in her family not to attend, Amber is committed to supporting culturally grounded opportunities for Gitxsan youth. As a Director, she works to strengthen the Society’s governance and help create meaningful ways for youth to connect with their identity, knowledge carriers, communities, and one another.
